JANE INCAO
Independent Creative Arts Director Graphic Designer & Print Production Expert

Jane Incao is a trailblazer in the design world and a seasoned Creative Arts Director / Graphic Designer with an extraordinary eye for detail, typography, and color. With decades of experience and a deep passion for her craft, Jane brings creative visions to life—whether it’s branding a company, designing food packaging, art directing a photoshoot, or producing a high-end magazine.

Her expertise spans the entire creative process—from concept to completion—with superior knowledge of print production and expert-level skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. She’s also a skilled art director, especially in still life, food, fashion, and architectural shoots.

Jane began her career in the printing industry at Compucolor, where she helped pioneer techniques in metallic inks and custom colors before Pantone released its metallic swatch book. She also played a critical role in digitizing the company’s stripping department. Among her many firsts, Jane was the first designer on Long Island and in Boston to create computer-generated nightclub invitations.

In 1996, she founded Jane Incao Graphics in Glen Head, NY, working with clients such as WLIR Radio and House of Blues. In 1999, she co-founded Philadelphia Style, a fashion and lifestyle magazine now owned by Modern Luxury Media. As its Creative Director, Jane brought innovative graphics, cutting-edge design, and direct-to-plate printing into play—setting a new standard in the magazine industry. She was also the first designer in the U.S. and globally to design a magazine using Adobe InDesign, now the industry’s go-to tool.

In 2002, she returned to Long Island to help launch Elements, the region’s first upscale lifestyle magazine. Then, in 2005, she partnered with designer Terri Carr Muran to form York Design—a name that nods to their roots in Yorkshire, England and New York. Today, Jane leads the company with a collective of visionary creatives, including photography expert Jan Van Pak.

Jane’s creativity is also deeply rooted in the food world. She’s been passionate about cooking since the age of 12 and spent eight years working in catering and restaurants. During her magazine years, she oversaw food and restaurant sections, collaborated with chefs, and styled shoots with precision and flair. At York Design, she continues this work with food service and grocery brand clients.

Conversational in Italian, Jane holds a BFA in Graphic Design from New York Institute of Technology and studied art and design in Florence, Italy. She returns often to absorb the culture, connect with friends, and deepen her love of Italian cooking.

She was born to create—and she’s happiest doing just that.

Jane is living La Dolce Vita.
